What I want is a person to take care of me and mine. Someone who will compose the grocery list and make the dinners. Someone who remembers that the housekeeper is coming on Wednesday and writes the check for her and puts out the clean sheets. Someone who can pick up the kids and the dry cleaning and the alterations. Someone who always makes sure that I have clean underwear and, for that matter, runs to the mall and picks me up 6 new pairs of panties when he/she notices that mine are a little worse for the wear. Someone who remembers my mother's birthday and reminds me to call. Someone who makes the Christmas lists and does all of the shopping AND wrapping.
It doesn't need to be a woman. I'm not particular. Just someone, anyone really, who is willing to work tirelessly for free without thanks. Well maybe I'll give them a blender for their birthday.
